Gypsy dance is the dance of “passion”.  It is bright, dynamic and entertaining. It reflects Romany (Roma gypsies) people’s traditions, lifestyle and freedom. The folk dancing of Romany people from all over the world, is full of graceful and joyful movements, with expression of freedom, passion and playfulness. “Gypsy” dance elements include wide hand waves with skirt and shoulder shakes, and incorporates fancy leg movement, quick and rhythmic footwork, sudden knee drops, deep “pordebras” around the whole body, fast turns, playing with the skirt, coy facial expressions with arms held high.

Skill Level:  Available for all levels, but some prior dance experience will be helpful
